Four suspects nabbed with 5.5 kg of Kerala cannabis

Trincomalee Narcotics Bureau officials nabbed four suspects with 5.5 kg of Kerala cannabis on Friday (13).

Initially, a suspect was arrested in Trincomalee, Linga Nagar with 1.5 kg of Kerala cannabis.

Thereafter, another person was arrested with 1.4 kg of Kerala cannabis in the Matko area, Trincomalee on information provided by the first suspect.

Their information led the official to two more suspects who were arrested at the 3rd Mile Post in Trincomalee, while they were travelling in a van. The van driver had 1.3 kg of Kerala cannabis and the passenger had 1.3 kg of Kerala cannabis. The four suspects, aged 27, 28, 24 and 24 years, are residents of Mannar, Chilabaththurai and Uppukkulam. Investigations are continuing.
