After the grand success of Dream Girl, director Raaj Shaandaliyaa is all set to start working on his next project with Ekta Kapoor. Based on the life of a young girl in Chandigarh, Ekta announced that Disha Patani will be playing the lead role.
Confirming the collab, Ekta said, “Disha has a strong connect with the youth and I couldn’t think of anyone else who could portray the wild yet innocent, and crazy yet sensible character. To add to that, Disha’s oomph takes it notches higher.”
Ekta also spoke of how the film should not be labelled ‘women centric. She said “If we don’t call a regular film ‘male-centric’, why do we put all films that have women at the centre of them into one bracket? I would rather say that my next is a crackling comedy with Disha in the lead.”
With the news already out, we are looking forward to an official confirmation on the director and the title of the film.
