Former speaker and parliamentarian Chamal Rajapaksa said that National Democratic Front (NDF) presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa was violating the election rules and regulations extensively by distributing various goods. The former speaker was speaking at the Tissamaharama Podujana Peramuna Electoral Bala Mandala meeting at the Singapore Welfare Center in Hambantota recently.
Parliamentarian Chamal Rajapaksa said the international seaport and the airport in Mattala were hives of activities until this government came to power. He said the government converted the Mattala airport to a paddy storage complex.
“The voters cannot be deceived by giving false pledges. Lorry loads of cement are distributed among the voters at Lunugamwehera and Weerawila but the custodians of law observe silence,” Rajapaksa said.= “What will be the fate of the country and itscitizens if such a person wins the presidential election?” he queried.
