Ceremonies at Grand Kalmunai Beach Mosque

The Flag Hoisting ceremony marking Nagoor Aandakai Tharha Shereff’s 198th Hoisting of flag of the historic fame Grand Kalmunai Beach Mosque (Kadatkaraippalli) was held at Kadatkaraippalli Grounds in the presence of thousands of Muslim devotees after Asar Prayers at 4.30 p.m. on Saturday.

The programme will go on daily commencing at 6.30 a.m. with religious preaching’s by reputed Ulamas, Pakkeerbawas “raathibs” continuously for 12 days and the ceremony will be concluded on February 5 with hoisting down the flag and Grand Kanthoori (Feast).

Sanitary facilities and special bus services also have been arranged for the convenience of devotees gathered here from outstations. Security services have also been strengthened.
