Another 30 Sailors infected with coronavirus and who underwent treatment in hospitals were discharged from the hospitals having tested negative to COVID-19, on 14th May 2020.
These naval personnel who were identified positive to coronavirus, were admitted to hospitals for treatment. This group was under treatment as 18 persons in Naval General Hospital, 10 persons in Homagama hospital, one person in Mulleriyawa hospital and one person in IDH Hospital. Since, these sailors were found negative to COVID-19 on the reports of random PCR tests done under treatment, they were discharged on 14th May 2020.
Accordingly, including these 30 naval personnel, 151 naval personnel out of the total number of infected ones, have been discharged from hospitals after being tested negative to COVID-19. Further, these discharged Naval personnel were directed to be under quarantine for another 14 days following the healthcare instructions.
