All propaganda rallies organized by Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna have been temporarily suspended for three days ( July 13 to 15).
The suspension of propaganda rallies has been done under instructions of SLPP founder and national organizer, former minister Basil Rajapaksa.
According to the statement the propaganda rallies scheduled for Monday (13), Tuesday (14) and Wednesday (15) with the participation of SLPP leaders were temporarily suspended, the SLPP said in a statement.
The statement said Basil Rajapaksa has requested all SLPP organizers to limit election meetings. He has also requested organizers to follow strict health safety measures if any pocket meetings are held.The statement also said that further notice of propaganda rallies and meetings of the SLPP shall be issued later on.
