PS employee arrested with stock of venison

An employee of the Galgamuwa Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) in Kurunegala was arrested on September 8 with a gun, cartridges, knife and axe with 40 kg of stock of venison by Wildlife Officers of Meegalewa Forest Range Office. The suspect along with three slaughtered deer was arrested in Halmillawatta. The suspect had killed three deer in the Government Forest Reserve of Nikaweratiya in the Kurunegala District. He was to be produced before the Thambuttegama Magistrate today.
