Minor staff of the Kalutara General Hospital staged a protest on several demands yesterday at the hospital main entrance.
Job permanency for substitute health servants, solution for the shortage of workers and accident allowances were some of the demands. The Joint Health Workers’ Union Chairman said that the authorities have been ignoring their demands that they made to the Ministry for many years.
He said that the minor workers will stage another massive-scale protest, if the their justifiable and fair demands are neglected further.
