About 5,500 housewives in the Kurunegala and Puttalam Districts of the North Western Province (NWP) will be trained in producing organic fertilizer for their domestic use and financial assistance along with technical know-how will be provided by the Agriculture Ministry.
Rs. 15 million have been allocated by the Government in this regard.
About 24,000 home gardens will be set up in the next two months in the NWP, Kurunegala Assistant Agriculture Director J.M.Ariyadasa said.
