Puttalam District Environmental Pioneer Commissioner A.H.M.M. Shafi said that 11 students have been selected from the Puttalam District this year for the Environmental Pioneer Presidential Awards (EPPAs).
Six students from Kalpitiya Al Aqsa National School and five students from Pallivaasalthurai Muslim Maha Vidyalaya have been selected, he said.
The interviews for candidates were recently conducted by the Presidential Secretariat, the Education Ministry and the Environment Ministry at Kalpitiya Al Aqsa National School.
