Six injured in bus-lorry collision

A bus and a lorry collided on May 25 near the Swamimalai Pillaiyar Temple near the Thambalagama Junction on the Kandy-Trincomalee Road injuring six persons.

Thambalagama Police said that six injured persons’ condition is critical.

The bus was travelling from Trincomalee to Colombo and the lorry towards Kelaniya when the accident occurred.

Five of the six injured persons have been admitted to the Trincomalee General Hospital and the other to the Kantalai Hospital, Police said. Thambalagama Police are investigating.
