D. S. Senanayake (DSS) College recorded a massive 50-0 victory over St. Benedict’s College in their Inter-Schools Under-20 ‘B’ Division League Rugby Tournament match played in Colombo.
The winners went on the rampage from the kick-off and collected their points from five goals and three tries to start their campaign in a spectacular manner.
Meanwhile, Thurstan College also got their campaign underway with an impressive 29-10 victory over Ananda College in their opening fixture played at Thurstan Grounds.
The winners collected their points from two goals and three tries while the Anandians managed to score only two unconverted tries.
In another ‘B’ Division match, Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala had the better of St. Aloysius’ College, Galle 29-10. (C.D)
