The four-team competition of the SLC invitational T-20 league cricket tournament which will be contested between the ‘Reds,’ Greens,’ ‘Blues,’ and ‘Greys,’ will be focused on preparing the National Team for the upcoming T20 Asia will commence today at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. The first match between Team Grays and Reds will commence today at 3 pm followed by Blues and Greens at 7.30 pm.
Kusal Mendis will lead the Team Reds while Charith Asalanka (Team Blues) Dasun Shanaka (Team Greens) and Ashan Priyanjan (Team Greys) will lead their sides respectively and most of the National players are expected to take part in this event which is going to be live telecast on local TV channel.
According to the SLC CEO Ashley de Silva, the public will be allowed to witness this event. Entry for the matches will be on a ‘Free-Of-Charge,’ basis, while the gates will open at 2 pm, during the days, when the double-headers are taking place. Each team will play three matches in the first round, while the top two teams in the points table will feature in the finals, which is set to be played on August 15 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium from 7.30 pm.
