PATA German chapter to re-launch promotions from SL

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Germany chapter has decided to re-launch their promotions from Sri Lanka and a delegation from Berlin, representing PATA Germany Chapter arrived to here early this morning for a week’s stay from until 7.

During their stay they will engage in many destination promotional activities which will bring a vast positive impact to boost inbound traffic to Sri Lanka from Germany.

The group consists of 27 Tour operators and 2 officials from PATA German chapter accompanied by a representative from Sri Lankan Airlines. Sri Lanka Tourism, in collaboration with House of Travel & Tourism (Pvt) Ltd (HOT) is arranging their familiarization tour across the Island Nation.

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) together with HOT welcomed the Delegation at Bandaranayake International Airport and proceeded on a tour to north central, hill country and outh. During the familiarization tour, they will cover the most important tourist attractions and activities in major tourist-attracted cities in the Paradise Island. The PATA German Chapter set this familiarization tour to activate their “PATA Live Seminar for Year 2023” in Sri Lanka.

An online seminar will be conducted by the PATA German Chapter live from here with the leading tour operators in Germany to boost Sri Lanka among them. The Chapter will also attend to a Destination Promotion Forum at Bentota Beach by Cinnamon on Feb 5. A Mini Travel Mart along with B2B sessions with the travel industry particularly between the delegates and hoteliers will be held on February 6, at Captain Gunny’s Bistro, Hikkaduwa.

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is a membership association working to promote the responsible development of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region while PATA Germany Chapter will promote tourism in the destinations of Asia and the Pacific and is the contact point for tourism professionals in Asia.
