Twelve year old up and coming Volleyball player. Member of the School under 13 team, member of the DSI All Island under 13 champion team 2022 and Best Setter of the tournament Gagani Tiana Kalhari has brought honour and immense glory to her alma mater Vijayaba National School Hungama with her deeds in the field of Volleyball.
Gagani hails from Ruwinigama,,Hungama was born on TNovember 23 2010 and admitted to the present school in 2016 and up to 2019 she did not participate in sports activities and the same year her Parents Ranjith Crishantha and Dilan iKumudu handed over their daughter to School Volleyball Coach Hashan Liyanage and her first attempt was at the Provincial Level and they won and in the District Tournament too they won and at the Provincial they came fourth.
In 2020 and 21 there were no sports due to Coronavirus and after strenuous training they won the Divisional, District and Provincial DSI tournaments and took ‘ part at the DSI All Island under 13 Tournament 2022 and in the finals they beat more fancied Dhammissara College Nattandiya and clinched the All Island Trophy and Gagani was adjudged as the All Island Best Setter of the under 13 DSI Volleyball Tournament 2022.
