Sri Lanka takes two golds and silver in World Para Grand Prix

Anil Prasanna Jayalath and Saman Subasinghe won gold medals while Nuwandika Indika clichéd a silver medal at the World Para-athletics FAZZA Grand Prix meet held in Dubai yesterday.

Jayalath won the 100m T-42 gold medal while Subasinghe finished first in the 400m T-46 event to take the gold medal.

Nuwandika Indika won 100m T- 44 silver medal.

Four Lankan para-athletes are taking part in this meet with the sponsorship of Dialog Axiata and Sports Ministry.

According to the President of the National Paralympic Committee Colonel Deepal Herath, obtaining meet ranking points is vital for Sri Lanka para-athletes to qualify for Paralympics in 2024.
