Sonath Enuka a promising cricketer from Piliyandala Central

Sonath Enuka

Second year under 19 all round cricketer. Left hand top order batsman leg spinner and safe fielder, under 13, 15 and 17 player and division three Daily News Trophy player Sonath Enuka has brought honour and immense glory to his two schools Sir John Kotalawala Vidyalaya and Piliyandala Central College with his deeds in the field of cricket

Sonath who hails from Gonamadiththa, Piliyandala was born on 6th February 2004 and initially admitted to Sir John Kotalawala Vidyalaya Piliyandala in 2010 and from his smaller days he was keen on cricket his parents Rukmal Jayantha and Nadeesha Nilanganie made arrangements to admit him to the Piliyandala Town Sports Cricket Academy and came under Sriyan Chaminda in 2011. Same year he was selected to the under 13 division three team of Sir John Kotalawala Vidyalaya Piliyandala and played for the team in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and his first year he got two fifties and in his second year he scored a half century and in his third year he scored 71 runs against S.Thomas College.

His second year in the under 15 was in 2015 division three and he scored 168 runs versus Mahanama College and another three half centuries

Then in his second year in under 17 he fared well and to enhance his cricket career he was drafted to Piliyandala Central College and in the One Day Tournament he scored a fifty and throughout the tournament he scored 227 runs and in the two day matches he collected 360 runs. He played in two Big Matches and two One Dayers against their arch rivals Taxila Central and in his first Limited Overs game he was the Man of the Match and his Coach is former Cambrian Eranga Gunaratne and at present he is playing division three cricket in the Daily News Trophy for Horana Sports Club.
