Most Ven. Dr. Wijayarajapura Seelawamsa Thero, Chief Incumbent of Nyanaponika Dhamma Zentrum in Vienna, Austria declared open the library at the Embassy premises in light of the Poson Poya day.
Over the last 40 years Ven. Seelawansa's contributions to development of Buddhism since his arrival in Europe in 1982 has been noteworthy.
In 2007, Ven. Seelawansa was awarded the title "Europe Mahadvipa Dhammadatu Sanghapati" for his service to propagate Buddhism in Europe.
