The Iran Cultural Centre recently held a seminar titled “Investigating the influence of Imam Khomeini’s thought on the contemporary world” to mark the 34th death anniversary of its spiritual leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, on Sunday (4).
It was held under the patronage of Cultural Counsellor of Iran Cultural Centre Dr. B. Moazami Goodarzi.
University of Colombo Department of International Relations Senior Lecturer Dr. George I.H. Cooke and University of Peradeniya Department of Philosophy Senior Lecturer S. Weerawardene praised Imam Khomeini’s contribution to Iran and his great efforts and meritorious services that led to the historic Islamic revolution.
Iranian Embassy Defence Attaché Homayoun Aliyari, Chief of Economic and Consular Section K. Soheil and Chief of Political Section Seyyed Mostafa Hashemi were also present.
