Former Minister Navin Dissanayake was sworn in as the Sabaragamuwa Province Governor at the Presidential Secretariat by President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday (13). Dissanayake expressed his commitment to contribute significantly to the realization of President Wickremesinghe’s projects and government. The new Governor emphasized his special focus on enhancing children’s education in the Sabaragamuwa Province. President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake was present.
The new Sabaragamuwa Province Governor Navin Dissanayake said that he will contribute his best to implement the programmes and government policies that President Ranil Wickremesinghe has planned for the country.
Dissanayake said this while speaking after being sworn in as the new governor, in the presence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe in his new position at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (13).
He pointed out that although the country was in a very difficult situation in the past period, there has been a positive transformation in the country today due to the proper programmes of the
President, and that he will dedicate himself to the development of the Sabaragamuwa province by joining those programmes.
He mentioned that he would pay special attention to the education of children in Sabaragamuwa
province and said that his aim is to implement the government’s policies with the blessings of all political party leaders.
President’s Secretary Saman Ekanayake was also present on this occasion.
