Jaffna University re-instates 28 suspended students

The administration of the Jaffna University has decided to re-instate 28 of the 31 students of the Jaffna University whose studentships were suspended on the charge of brutally assaulting a group of students and seriously injuring one student. This decision has been taken considering the appeals submitted by these 28 students and the administration has decided to further consider the appeals submitted by the other three students. The suspension of these 31 students in the Second and Third years of the Jaffna University was carried out due to allegations of brutally assaulting a group of students and seriously injuring one student within the Jaffna University premises.
