A team of police Special Task Force officers arrested the son-in-law of Poogudi Kanna, who is dealing
in strong drugs and weapons, along with heroin day before yesterday (26) at the Inguru Kade Junction area in Grandpass Police Division. The suspect was arrested while in possession of a digital scale and a mobile phone along with 20 grams 500 milligrams of heroin which was to be sold, during this raid based on intelligence information received by a team of officers of the Police Special Task Force.
The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of Modera Uyana, Colombo 15. The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Grandpass Police Station for further investigation. According to the police, this person is also the son-in-law of a person named Poogudi Kanna, who is involved in drugs and arms trafficking.
This raid had been carried out by a team of officers of the Police Special Task Force Gonahena Camp under the supervision of SP H. D.Wattegedera on the orders of Special Task Force Commandant DIG Waruna Jayasundera.
