Cinnamon Lakeside bags John Keells Group Netball Championship

Cinnamon Lakeside's Netball team brought home the Championship Trophy at the John Keells Group Netball Championship held on Saturday March 4 at the CR&FC. Counting wins at every game played, the Lakeside team that was in the Group B category won their first match against JKOA and tied with Jay Kay Marketing went on to beat JKC, Walkers Inbound and finally Jay Kay Marketing for 13-7. For their outstanding performances, Lakeside's W D C Kalhari won the Best Overall Player of the Tournament while Samadi Cooray won the title of Best Shooter of the Tournament. The netball team was captained by Samadi Cooray and included Priscilla De Jonk, Lakmini Kumarihamy, W D C Kalhari, Dharshini Senanayake, Chavini Dissanayake, Nicola Gunasekara, Jessica Mathews, Kaushali Amarasinghe and Malki Elapatha. The team was coached by Nimali Weerasingha.
