Suffering at OPD

On August14 around 12.30 a.m. we took a patient who was suffering from stomach pain too to the OPD. There we were told to go to Ward No. 14.

In Ward No. 14 there were nearly 15 patients, some sitting and a few standing leaning against the wall. All were suffering from various ailments. Two doctors were attending to the patients simultaneously rushing into the wards and then coming back.

We waited for over one hour and our patient too was holding his stomach in severe pain. We felt it would take another one or two hours to attend to our patient and thereafter left the hospital to go to a private hospital so as to get some relief.

Patients are rushed to the OPD at midnight to seek ‘immediate medical treatment’ but are kept to wait for long to suffer until official requirements are done which involve several paper work.

Should not they be treated promptly to give them some relief? Hope the authorities will take some action to remedy the situation.
