Kandy SC favourites against CH & FC at Nittawela

Defending champions Kandy SC will take the field as one of the favourites in the newly introduced super round tournament and are sure to warm up with a morale-boosting win over CH & FC at Nittawela on Sunday. Both Kandy SC and CH & FC will be hoping to gain their first victory of this year’s super round tournament, where the first four teams of the league table will compete in the Cup championship. For Kandy SC, a win in this clash is a must and although they picked up losing points against Havelock SC last Saturday, a win today will help them to meet the winners of Havelock SC vs. CR & FC game next Saturday. In tomorrow’s game the fly-halves will be crucial and both sides. CH have superb pivots in Nigel Ratwatte and Rohitha Rajapaksa. Both are excellent thinkers of the game and although that aspect of their play will be important, it's their play making skills which will be in the spotlight. Nigel is the more experienced of the two but Rohitha is a talented player who enjoys the running game and he will be determined to put his side in front with his strong attacking play.
