Four suspects have been arrested over assaulting two police while they were on traffic duty and Suspects had stolen their service revolver and 5 live ammunition.
That was during an operation carried out by the Batticaloa Police last night.
The suspects were aged 19, 23 and 55, residents of Batticaloa.
Further investigations are underway.
