Six suspects arrested with heroin

Six youth smoking heroin in a tourist hotel at the Dambulla Temple Junction were arrested by Dambulla police and STF personnel on January 18 night on a tip off that the hotel was frequented by those addicted to narcotics.

Police have found 3.355 grams of heroin with the suspects.

Thereafter, the police have inspected the area and nabbed another two with 20 mg of heroin.

The suspects are residents of Dambulla, Bakamuna, Laggala and Hathtotaamuna.

Investigations are continuing.
