Graduate trainees: Reporting for COVID-19 duty not compulsory

The Training programme for the unemployed graduates who reported  to the Divisional Secretariats has been postponed until May taking into consideration the current situation in the country.

Due to the current situation in the country over the Coronavirus spread, the Health Ministry had requested for the services of these graduates temporarily to assist the Medical Health Officers in the prevention drive against the Coronavirus.   

However, due to the prevailing curfew in effect and the restrictions in movement, most graduates will be unable to report to the Divisional Secretariats/MOH Offices. Therefore, it is not compulsory for them to report for duty and they would be notified regarding their deployment shortly.
