An investigation has been launched by Welikada police into the body which was found near the Polduwa Bridge of the Diyawanna Oya last morning.
The body has been identified as a resident of No 163, Wijayananda Dharmayathamna Road, Sinhapura in Hokandala. According to the police investigations, the deceased (74) had left his home on last Sunday without informing his family members.
His son has lodged a complaint with the Thalangama Police on the day that his father had left home without informing.
