Deputy High Commissioner of India Vinod K. Jacob visited the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) at the invitation of KDU Vice Chancellor Major General Milinda Peiris.
Deputy Vice Chancellor Brigadier Nanda Hathurusinghe and KDU senior officials were present on the occasion.
Jacob held cordial discussions on ongoing and potential areas of collaboration including institutional linkages of KDU with Indian think – tanks and academic institutions, student exchanges and Research and Development.
Jacob briefly toured the Sir John Kotelawala Museum. Vice Chancellor Major General Milinda Peiris fondly recalled his training stints in India and highlighted that India offered the maximum number of training slots for Sri Lankan defence personnel.
