Cabinet approval has been granted to implement the decisions and recommendations of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate Incidents of Political Revenge, Co-Cabinet Spokesman Mass Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.
President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appointed a Presidential Commission of inquiry to investigate incidents of political revenge said to have happened to Public Officers, employees of Government Corporations, Members of the Armed Forces and Police between January 8, 2015 to November 16, 2019.
The report of the aforesaid Commission has been handed over to the President. Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal submitted by the President to submit the report to Parliament and to take necessary action to implement decisions and recommendations of the aforesaid report.
