Residents of the Thambalagamam Divisional Secretariat Division staged a protest yesterday at the 98th Block Junction along the Kandy-Trincomalee Main Road in the Trincomalee District over the Human-Elephant Conflict.
After a telephone conversation with the relevant government officials, the protestors left the street.
Vehicular movement along the main road was blocked for about an hour in the protest.
