Roller Skating all Island Gold Medallist, National Schools Silver Medallist and athlete Disansa Dhamdi has brought honour and immense glory to her two schools Presidents Primary School Nawala and National School Gonapala Horana.

Disansa was born on 23rd August 2009 and she was initially admitted to Presidents Primary School Nawala . When she was in Grade Three in the under 9 age group she swept the board in 60 and 80 metres and in Long Jump and became the Champion Athlete and when she was in Grade Five in the under 12 age group too she won the 80 and 100 metres and Long Jump events and became the Champion and participating in the Divisional Educational Meet she was the Champion and won Long Jump 100 metres event
In 2016 she took an interest in Roller Skating and her Parents Priyanka Pushpakumara and Nivani Rodrigo handed over her to the school coach Neil Perera in 2016 and in 2017 at the Junior Nationals in Roller Skating she won a Bronze Medal in the under 9 age group and in 2018 too she won a Bronze at the Junior Nationals under 9 age group. Then in 2019 at the schools National Meet she won a Silver Medal for Roller Skating in 400 and 600 metres under 10 age group and once again in the under 12 age category 2020 Junior Nationals she won a Bronze Medal and participating in the Skooty Skating she was the All Island Champion and won a Gold Medal.
Due to change of residence in 2020 she was admitted to National School Gonapola Horana and her Teacher in Charge of Athletics is Mrs.Priyadarshani and the Principal Susantha Jayamal Perera is extending his fullest support to her in Athletics and Skating.
