The Panadura Walana Central Anti-Corruption Unit raided a vehicle which carried six kgs of Cannabis in the Meegas Ara area in Miriswatta in the Middeniya Police Division on Monday.
The arrested suspect is a 47 year old resident of Ulhitiyawa, Middeniya area. He was produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Middeniya Police are conducting further investigations.
The Unit also arrested a suspect with 2kg of Kerala Cannabis and 6,050 narcotic pills in the Wadduwa area as well.
The arrested suspect is a 35 year old resident of Wadduwa. The suspect was produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court yesterday. Wadduwa Police are conducting further investigations.
The Walana Unit on a tip off also arrested an 18 year old boy over the possession of 5g of Kerala cannabis and 50 narcotic pills. He is a resident of the Alubomulla area. The suspect was produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
