The Malabe Police have managed to find information on two children who were reported missing by their father within 24 hours.
A father lodged a complaint with the Malabe Police saying that his two sons, aged 14 years and 16 years, have gone missing from home and that they cannot be found.
A senior officer of the Malabe Police stated that it was found that the mother of these children is abroad and the mother had brought these two children to her relative’s house. The official said that the relative’s house is located in Ambudeniya and the law will be implemented against them for taking the children into custody without the knowledge of the guardian of the children.
The officer said that the father of these children is addicted to alcohol and is strict with the children. But the officer further stated that it is not revealed that he abuses or neglects the children.
