Grade 5 Scholarship Exam: Questions only from finished lessons

The Grade Five Scholarship Examination which is scheduled to be held in August will test only the section of the syllabus which had already been completed at the time when the first case of COVID-19 was reported in Sri Lanka, Examinations Department sources said.

Therefore, students are advised not to panic over this issue as the examination will not cause injustice to any student during the evaluation process, an Examinations Department spokesman said.

As the Education Ministry announced that the examination would be held in August as planned earlier, parents claimed that the students who face the Grade Five Examination find it difficult to prepare for the examination and to continue their studies since schools remain closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

He said the Advanced Level Examination will also be held in August as scheduled.
